I saw some cool movies.

Well, my cohort has inspired me to rant a bit, so I shall.
Right, so I saw I Am Legend with some pals yesterday and it was awesome. Will Smith is pretty much the bomb although the movie had some sad parts, and it's reeeeally intense, I still highly recommend seeing it.
Today I saw a screening of the Water Horse and being set in the 1940's it reminded me that fashion from that era was pretty chill. It also reminded me of this Teen Vogue fashion shoot:

They look so adorable don't they? I don't know if I could necessarily pull off the shirt and tie look with a military twist, but I'm sure there are plenty of people who can. Then looking at this shoot reminded me of Sound of Music which is one of my favorite movies (some of the fashion and architecture is really gorgeous) and some shoes I found on Delia's.

These shoes are black and white wingtips I believe. I want to call them spectator pumps, but I'm not sure if that's the right name. Anyways, they rock my socks and I would start wearing heels if I could have those shoes. Those shoes with some black tights and a smart high-waisted skirt would be perfecto.
The end.

uhmm, is this legit?

I'm hoping my parter in crime is okay with me posting a post on our blog without her here "guiding me." And I want her to know that she left her snowman-shaped cup at my house. And I was going to give it to her at MC Lewis's cookie party but I can't go because I have a dentist appointment and then I can't get a ride to her house afterwards. So, sorry.

I am sitting here, alone, at home. My parents are at a party and my sister is out with her little friends downtown. And I am hungry. Ugh. So I was like, hmm, computer. And I made a wishlist. Now of course I couldn't get everything onto one Microsoft Paint document so this is only a small list.

1. a purple and black striped fleece hoodie from American Apparel, very comfy looking.
2. SUNGLASSES. yes, yes, it is winter time. but sunglasses are so cool. and would love to sport these around on campus spring term. the first two pairs are "'80's splatter" sunglasses (and i think i prefer the pink ones), and the third pair is a pair of risky business sunglasses in red. vair vair cool. both are from fredflare.com
3. sparkle margaret shirt from j. crew. very pretty indeed. very lumber jane indeed. haha.
4. HAHA. threadless.com has the BEST t-shirts ever. ever. this one is called B.F.F.'s and i love it. i really want it.
5. so, i'm in love with andy warhol. his art is absolutely incredible. i love everything from his prints (some of which were just featured at our school's art gallery, including his mohammed ali print) to his short film "the blowjob." so i really want all of his "green cat," "sam the cat," etc., etc. posters. my walls ARE looking a little bare. very bare actually.
6. a nice, warm scarf from urban outfitters
7. from fredflare.com; a men's tuxedo sweatshirt. ahaha. snazzy.
8. an oversized lapis blue sweater from american apparel. i would never ever be able to pull it off as well as the model, but it is so beautiful.
9. a nice new, teal fender. i need to new guitar to play some jams on. i mean, sure im satisfied with my first guitar, which was an acoustic and my red electric "siobhan" but i want a new one. and i would name him "george clooney." he is so beautiful.
10. purple jeans. or any cool color of jeans, for that matter.
11. tights. tights, tights, tights. in every color under the sun.
12. a record player. my papa has so many cool records and we can't listen to them because we don't have a working record player. we also saw one that plays the record and converts it into mp3s. so awesome.
13. gucci bike. or the bike that dewey has. the kid that used to play dewey from malcolm in the middle goes to our school (and dresses very very sharply) and has the coolest bike ever. and it even has a cool wicker basket on it. i think we are going to steal it soon. but i can deal with a gucci one, i suppose.
14. marc jacobs/panam gym bag. been eyeing it for a while.
15. marc jacobs biography by bridget foley.
16. a very pretty hermes scarf.
17. a lemon animal striped cardigan from j.crew. i know one of my friends has one inthe red-ish color and it looks oh-so-cool.

now, i'm going to go eat and mope because i can't go to MCL's cookie party this year.
and maybe i'll watch the end of "its a wonderful life."

good night.

what a beautiful beautiful picture.
what beautiful beautiful men.

Mesh Body Suits, Holidays, and Fort Rock Farm.

Mesh. Meshy mesh mesh. GROSS. Please tell American Apparel that you cannot wear mesh body suits alone. I mean sure, you can wear it at like an, '80's dance, but something is to be WORN UNDERNEATH. Actually a lot of their models never wear undies of ANY KIND. Hey, but what can you do.

HOLIDAYS! CHRISTMAS, CHANNUKAH, KWANZA, OH GOODNESS THE HOLIDAYS ARE COMING/ARE HERE! GET STOKED!

Our Christmas List:
-Bass guitar (a classic white ash, maple body FENDER, OW-AH-AH-AH-AHH!)
-guitar (a teal electric one to be specific)
-Risky Business sunglasses from FredFlare
-'80's splatter sunglasses from FredFlare
-A PIG VACCUUM from, you guessed it, FredFlare
-brightly colored tights (purple, blue, red)
-jeans (BLUE BLUE jeans, purple, red, and pink)
-Margaret L.'s BOD (this is actually number one on our list)
-some certain players from the Colorado College Hockey team, namely Sweatt and Hillen, and maybe even Vlassopolous; go to www.coloradocollege.edu/Athletics/varsity_sports/Hockey/roster/ for hot guys. yummy.

That's it for now, but of course there is more, but we have to go eat mozzarella sticks. NUM NUM NUMMM. peace.

p.s. save fort rock farm!

Vintageous is Advantageous TO YOUR SOUL!!

We found this cool website called vintageousvintage.com or um maybe vintageous.com, one or the other. Anyways, they have a lot of just swell vintage dresses and other things and they are mostly if not all under $300. The first dress we have up there is a 1950's pretty pink prom dress which we think is just delightful. The one below it is a TEA PARTY DRESS!!! We should have a tea party and tell people what to wear. Much like the GossipGirl episode "Wild Brunch." That's what we'd wear. And the fashion police ( us ) would make sure everyone was dressed properly in pastels and such and that there was TEA present and yummy pastries. AHEM unlike a certain boy dorm's tea party. (We're looking at you Abbot in case any of you read this.)

These next two dresses are snazzy as well. The first one is gold and metallic-y and cool.  Very good for parties. Like a birthday party or something. The one directly above looks like something out of Breakfast at Tiffany's which is a very good movie and you should watch it! (Along with Top Hat).
THE END!

MARC JACOBSSS

Keeping on the topic of Marc Jacobs, we noticed some trompe l'oeil and some short shorts (who loves short shorts, we love short shorts, and TOP HATS!). So yeah, there were some pretty sick top hats. Ch-ch-ch-ch-check it out. Wha-wha-wha-what's it all about?! MOTHAFORNICATOR.
(that's our new word, you know, instead of the other synonym of fornicate.)

GO FRED ASTAIRE!

public class HelloWorld

First post! Whoo. So maybe we should tell you something about ourselves. We are two fashion blog obsessed teens who were like, "hey let's start our own." We aren't really happy with our school's "Trendwatch," which documents the "well-dressed" peeps in our school. Although they do occasionally mention someone with true style we would like to supply you with our own stylish people. Eventually we'll have random pics of people at our school. Sweet! For now you can enjoy some other stuff.
Because I have not brought my camera to school, we will be looking at our favorite designs/ designers (MARC JACOBS).

We really like the Marc Jacobs Ready To Wear Spring collection which featured Lego accessories! I tried to make one myself ( which consisted of a pile of connected Legos glued to a barrette ) and it didn't look half bad.
